The airport is situated 40km (25 miles) southwest of Taipei, in Taoyuan County.
Transfer Between Terminals
The skytrain provides free transportation between the terminals.
Driving Directions
Fom Taipei, take the Sun Yat-sen Fwy southwest towards Taipei and Taichung/ChungLi and turn off at the airport interchange, just after the Nankan Nokan interchange.
Car Parking
Car parks are located on the ground level of the east and west sides of the Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Parking information is available (tel: (03) 398 2160 for Terminal 1 or 393 1999 for Terminal 2).
Car Hire
There are car hire counters in the Arrivals lobby of both terminals. Contact Easy Rent for more information (tel: (03) 398 2576; www.easyrent.com.tw).
Public Transport
Bus: Several companies serve city centre destinations (journey time - 50-60 minutes), as well as Taipei Rail Station. There are also buses to Taoyuan, Chungli and Taichung (journey time - 2 hours), as well as other areas.
Shuttle: High-speed Ubus shuttles link the two airport terminals with the HSR Taoyuan Station.
Taxi: Taxis are available from the Arrivals hall 24 hours a day to Taipei and Taichung.
Information and Help Desks
There are information desks and tourist services counters in both terminal.
Airport Facilities
Money and communications: Two banks have outlets throughout the airport providing ATMs and bureaux de change. There are also two post offices, one in each terminal, as well as an Internet room and telephones in Terminal 1 Departures. Mobile phone hire and Wi-Fi Internet access are also available.
Eating and drinking: Chinese and Western restaurants, fast-food outlets, cafes and bars are located around the airport.
Shopping: Shops at the airport include newsagents, shops selling local crafts and souvenirs and duty-free.
Luggage: Lost property offices are located in the basements of Terminal 1 Departures and Terminal 2 Arrivals. Left-luggage services are available in both terminals.
Other facilities: These include a museum, a medical centre, a nursery and children’s playroom, a barber’s, first aid station, three prayer rooms, two beauty salons, a massage service centre, shower facilities and a transit hotel.
Conference and Business Facilities
On the fourth floor of Terminal 1 and 2 Departures, the More International Business Centre & Premium Lounge (tel: (03) 393 1111 for Terminal 1 or 398 3333 for Terminal 2; www.moregroup.com.tw) offers conference rooms for hire.
Facilities for Disabled Travellers
Disabled travellers may park free of charge for the first day of their stay in the airport car park. Passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel.
Hotels
The Evergreen Transit Hotel (tel: (03) 383 4510), for passengers waiting to transfer to another flight, is located on the fourth floor of the Transit Area. There are hotel reservation counters and hotel representatives in the Arrivals lobby of both terminals. The closest hotels are 32km (20 miles) from the airport and include the Hotel Royal Taipei, Imperial InterContinental, Grand Hotel Taipei, Regent Grand Formosa, Riviera Hotel and The Ritz Landis Hotel.
