Airport News
A new fourth terminal, due for opening in 2012, and to be known as the Midfield Terminal, is now under construction. It will increase the airport's capacity to 20 million passengers annually.

Driving Directions
Three major roads link the airport with Abu Dhabi city, Highway 30, Highway 2 and Highway 8. All three merge to to form the E10 on the approach to the airport.
Car Parking
Long- and short-term secure open-air parking is available close to the Departures and Arrivals gates of both terminals.
Car Hire
Car hire companies, including Budget, Europcar, Hertz, and local operators, have offices in the Terminal 1 car park.
Public Transport
Bus: Bus 901 connects central Abu Dhabi with the airport, departing at hourly intervals from outside the arrivals areas. Etihad operates a free bus connection for its passengers between the airport and Dubai.

Airport Facilities
24-hour duty free shopping can be found in all three terminals, as can a wide range of food and drink outlets. Banks and currency exchange are available in terminals 1 and two, and ATMs can be found around the airport.24-hour medical assistance is available in the Terminal 1 transit area. There is a pharmacy, nursing room and baby change facilities.
Conference and Business Facilities
A business centre is located in the Airport Hotel in Terminal 1 (tel: (02) 575 7377; website: www.abudhabiairport.ae). It offers a variety of office services, and is free to airport lounge users. A small charge applies for the general public. Free internet access is available in the lounges and in the hotel.
Facilities for Disabled Travellers
The airport is wheelchair accessible, with lifts etc. A personal 'meet and assist' service is available (tel: (02) 575 7466/505 2710.

The 40-room Abu Dhabi Airport Hotel (tel: (02) 575 7377; website: www.abudhabiairport.ae) is located in the Terminal 1 transit area, and offers a health club, business centre and children's play area.
