Driving Directions
The airport is located at the junction of I-65 and I-264. From the area surrounding Louisville, the airport can be reached by taking Preston Hwy, which leads to Phillips Lane. Continue west along Phillips Lane and then turn left onto the Freedom Way ramp and follow signs for the airport. From Nashville, it can be reached from the I-65 North, leading to I-264 West, exit 131. From Lexington, it can be reached from I-64 West, which leads to I-264 West, exit 11. From St Louis, it can be accessed from I-64 East to I-264 East (exit 1) to exit 11. From Cincinnati, the airport can be reached from the I-71 South leading to exit 131.
Car Parking
There is space for 5,625 cars at the airport in a covered and a remote car park. Garage levels 1-3 offer covered parking, while level 4 and the remote car park are uncovered. Drivers may park in any car park, but the remote car park offers the best value for long-term parking. Free shuttles run from the remote car park to the terminal building, every 10-15 minutes. A free short-term waiting zone is available for drivers picking up passengers at the airport. Valet parking is also available.
Car Hire
Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty are all represented at the airport. The car hire check-in desks are located on the lower level of the terminal in Arrivals. Return areas for hire cars are located within walking distance, next to the west end of the main airport building.
Public Transport
Bus: TARC (tel: (502) 585 1234) city buses operate between Louisville and the airport and offer a 24-hour service.
Shuttle: Several hotels and motels provide courtesy shuttle services.
Taxi: Taxis are provided by Ready Cab (tel: (502) 417 4406) and Yellow Cab (tel: (502) 636 5511).
Information and Help Desks
A central information desk (tel: (502) 367 6524/INFO) is located in the lower level baggage claim area and is open seven days a week. Ambassadors are also on hand to provide assistance.

Money and communications: A bank and bureau de change is located on the upper level of the terminal and ATMs can be found in the terminal building. The airport also has telephones, several equipped with data ports, and a post box. Wi-Fi is also available.
Eating and drinking: There are restaurants, bars, fast-food outlets and cafes at the airport.
Shopping: There are newsagents, gift shops, a convenience store, a bookshop and a golf shop.
Luggage: There is left-luggage at the airport. A lost property service is handled by the airport police (tel: (502) 380 8264).
Other facilities: These include a game room, massage chairs and shoeshine service.
Conference and Business Facilities
The Altitude: A Traveler’s Club (tel: (502) 361 5665) offers small group meeting spaces; computer work stations with high-speed Internet access; and a full service business centre including fax, copy machine, mail processing and telephone access.
Facilities for Disabled Travellers
The airport has specially-designed ramps and kerbs, and lifts fitted with Braille control buttons. There is one TDD telephone per bank of telephones; telephones are wheelchair-accessible. For wheelchairs and assistance with boarding, disabled passengers should contact their airline. Two eight-passenger chauffeured electric carts and a 93m (310ft) escalator transport passengers to/from gates. Reduced-rate and reserved parking is available in the covered car park, close to lifts.
