The airport is situated 25km (16 miles) northwest of Marseille.

The three terminals (domestic, international and low cost) are within walking distance of each other.

The airport is located on the N113 at Marignane. It is clearly signposted from the A7 motorway, which is the main access road. For a map of the area, visit the airport’s website.

There are over 9,000 parking spaces in nine parking lots, including covered and outdoor car parks, at the airport. Covered parking is available close to the terminal in P6; short-term parking is available in P8 and P9; nearby car parks include P10 and P5, for medium-term stays; and long-term parking is available in P1 and P2, close to the terminals, and P3 and P7, as well as a separate budget facility, Chèques Parking. Travellers can book their parking on the Internet (www.chequeparking.com) - this option is good value for money and very popular. The first 40 minutes of parking in P2 and P8 are free. Valet parking is also available upon request (tel: (04) 4214 2692) in front of P6. Information on car parking and rates is available (tel: (04) 4214 2927). P4 is for coaches only.

ADA, Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National/Citer and Sixt are all represented at the airport, with desks situated on the ground floor of Hall 4 (domestic Arrivals) and lots located between P3, P7 and P8 car parks.

Bus: There are shuttle buses from the airport to Marseille St Charles railway station (journey time - 20-30 minutes) and to Aix-en-Provence bus and TGV train stations (journey time - 30-40 minutes). 
Taxi: Taxis are available daily 24 hours and can be ordered in advance (tel: (04) 4214 2444 or (06) 2523 1319; www.taxis-aeroport.com).

Two information desks (tel: (04) 4214 1414/2114) are always open on the Arrivals level of the domestic and international terminals. Reception staff can advise on airport facilities, the times of flight arrivals and departures and connecting flights. There is no information desk as such in the mp2 terminal, but the travel agency mp2travel (tel: (04) 4214 3414), which has service desks in the terminal's public area and in the boarding lounge, will help travellers with any queries. The airport's automatic information service (tel: (04) 4214 2020) is available 24 hours a day and also covers the mp2 terminal.

Money and communications: Wi-Fi internet access is available in the airport's main terminal building. There are ATMs and phones in the mp2 terminal, but no Internet access.
Eating and drinking: There are cafés/restaurants in the public areas of the main terminals and in the boarding lounges.
Shopping: There is a duty-free shop and a newsstand in the two main terminals. There is also a shop selling local produce.
Luggage: Left-luggage facilities are available in Hall 1. Enquire at Bagages du Monde, open Monday to Friday only (tel: (04) 4214 3175). Trolleys can be found throughout the airport, and porters are available on request. For lost and found items, contact PCPA on the ground floor of Hall 3 (tel: (04) 4214 2410).
Other facilities: There is a baby changing facility by the boarding lounge.

The airport Business Centre (tel: (04) 4214 2774/8) is located in Hall 4 on the first floor of the main terminal building. It has private offices, meeting rooms and lounges available for hire. Up to 250 people can be accommodated in the Panoramique Lounge in the International Terminal. Facilities available include telephones, fax, Internet and audiovisual equipment, while services include welcome desks, personal porters, catering and a limousine service.

The airport has adapted toilets, lifts and reserved parking spaces. Other facilities for wheelchair users can be provided on request by the airlines or by Midi Provence (tel: (04) 4214 2742).

Hotels at the airport include the Pullman (formerly Sofitel) (tel: (04) 4278 4278; www.sofitel.com), Novotel (tel: (04) 4289 9044; www.novotel.com), Best Western (tel: (04) 4215 5400; www.bestwestern-marseille-aeroport.com), Ibis (tel: (04) 4279 6161; www.accorhotels.com) and Etap (tel: 0892 680 954; www.etaphotel.com). There are free courtesy buses to the hotels, and designated telephones are available just outside of the mp2 terminal, close to Arrivals.
