The airport is situated 1.5km (1 mile) north of Pisa.
Driving Directions
The airport is within easy reach of Pisa, Genoa, Leghorn and Florence on the A12 motorway and the Livorno-Pisa-Florence dual carriageway. Airport access is at the Pisa Centro exit, or the A11 motorway through Pisa Nord to link with the A12 for the Pisa Centro exit.
Car Parking
There are both short- and long-term car parks at the airport, with space for 1,200 vehicles. Short-term parking, for up to one hour, is available just outside the Departures area (P1). Long-term parking is available in the multi-storey car park opposite the train station (P2) on the Departures side, and in the parking lot by the petrol station (P4). Parking is free of charge for the first 30 minutes in P2.

Public Transport
Rail: The railway station is next to the terminal and can be accessed via a covered walkway. Services run to Pisa Centrale and Florence (Firenze SMN), with eight trains running daily.
Bus: Bus 1 makes several stops in the city centre. The service leaves from just outside the Arrivals hall and from the Cassa Parcheggi outside the Departures hall. Buses leave for the town centre every 10 minutes. There are also daily services to Siena and Livorno.
Taxi: CO.TA.PI (Pisa taxi cooperative) operates Radio Taxi (tel: (050) 541 600), which runs a 24-hour taxi service from the airport. CO.TA.PI also offers a collective taxi, which runs to the Pisa Centrale railway station and Ospedale Santa Chiara (for the leaning tower of Pisa), for a flat rate fare (€5-7). The journey to the centre of Pisa typically takes 10 minutes.
Information and Help Desks
There is an airport information desk in the Arrivals hall (tel: (050) 849 300), which can provide information on flights as well as tourist information; rail and bus tickets can also be bought here. The tourist information desk is located just outside the Arrivals hall (tel: (050) 503 700).
Airport Facilities
Money and communications: A bank, a currency exchange desk and a post office are all available at the airport. Telephones can be found throughout the terminal, and there are Internet points in both Departures and Arrivals.
Eating and drinking: There is a bar on the ground floor. On the first floor, there are two restaurants, one of which is self-service, and a pizzeria.
Shopping: The shopping area, La Corte, has over 20 shops and can be accessed from both floors. There is a duty-free shop in Departures and a tax-refund facility is available.
Luggage: A left-luggage service is available at the information office (tel: (050) 503 700). A porter service is available.
Other facilities: These include a first aid station, and an air health office with a surgery where vaccinations are available. There is also a children’s play area.
Conference and Business Facilities
The Galilei Business Centre (tel: (050) 849 200) has one meeting room which can hold up to 50 people and two smaller rooms which can accommodate up to 10 people. The Etruria Hall has audiovisual equipment, including an overhead projector, microphone, slide projector and screen. There is also a VIP lounge.
Facilities for Disabled Travellers
The airport is equipped with disabled toilets and lifts; there are ramps inside and outside the terminal. TDDs are provided for the hearing impaired. Reserved parking is available in the short-term and multi-storey car parks. Disabled travellers should inform their airline of any special assistance required prior to travel.
