The airport is situated 19km (12 miles) north of Sacramento.

Shuttle buses link the terminals and parking areas.

The airport is located on Airport Boulevard, off the I-5. Driving west to the airport on I-80, or on I-50, follow signs to I-5 North and take the airport exit. Driving east to the airport on I-80, follow signs to I-5 North and take the airport exit.

There are several car parks with spaces for over 12,000 cars at the airport, including hourly and daily car parks for Terminals A and B and economy parking. The first half-hour of hourly parking is free. Further airport parking information is available (tel: (916) 874 0681).

Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz and National all serve the airport. A shuttle ferries passengers to/from the car hire building. 

Bus: Yolobus (tel: (530) 666 2877; www.yolobus.com) provides a public bus service on the intercity bus route 42 to central Sacramento, Davis and Woodland. 
Shuttle: SuperShuttle (tel: 800 258 3826; www.supershuttle.com) provides an on-call service to Sacramento and other counties. Vans can be reserved for travel to outlying areas (see the airport's website for details).
Taxi: Taxis are also available.

Ground transportation information booths are located in Terminal A and between Terminals B1 and B2. Hotel information boards are in all terminals. Recorded information is available (tel: (916) 874 0700). Travelers Aid kiosks can be found in Terminal A and Terminal B1.

Money and communications: Telephones and ATMs are located throughout the airport. There is a full-service post office on Lindbergh Drive, outside the terminal complex. Free Wi-Fi Internet access is available.
Eating and drinking: Eating facilities include a pizza restaurant, a bar, fast-food outlets, coffee shops, a Chinese restaurant, a delicatessen and a bakery. There is a food court situated between Terminal B1 and B2.
Shopping: Shops at the airport include a sunglasses shop, a travel goods shop, a bookshop, a newsagent and gift shops.
Luggage: There is a lost property service (tel: (916) 874 0701). Trolleys are available.
Other facilities: An emergency-only medical service is available by dialling 911 on the white courtesy telephones. There are children’s play areas in Terminal A.

The on-site Host International Hotel (tel: (916) 922 8071; www.hostairporthotel.com) can provide business facilities, including fax and Internet services, and two conference rooms.

The airport is fully accessible to disabled travellers. For wheelchair assistance, contact the airline or dial 00 on a white courtesy phone. Skycap porters can provide wheelchair assistance free of charge. There are several TDD phones located throughout the airport. Designated car parking spaces are available for disabled travellers (tel: (916) 874 0681). All airport shuttle buses are lift-equipped. Lift-equipped transportation to/from the airport is available. Avis, Budget, Hertz and National offer vehicles for travellers with disabilities (vehicles must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance).

The Host International Hotel (tel: (916) 922 8071; www.hostairporthotel.com) is the only airport hotel on site, located directly opposite Terminal B. The Homestead Studio Suites Hotel - Sacramento (tel: (916) 564 7500; www.homesteadhotels.com), Residence Inn South Natomas (tel: (916) 649 1300; www.marriott.com), Holiday Inn Express (tel: (916) 928 9400; www.ichotelsgroup.com) and Hilton Garden Inn (tel: (916) 568 5400; www.hiltongardeninnsacramento.com) are all a short drive from the airport. Courtesy shuttles run to many local hotels; information and reservations are available at the courtesy telephone centres in the baggage reclaim areas of each terminal.
