The airport is located 8km (5 miles) northwest of Salt Lake City.
Transfer Between Terminals
There is a free airport shuttle running between the long-term parking facilities and the terminals.
Driving Directions
I-80 connects Salt Lake City to the airport; the airport exit is just west of the intersection with the I-215.
Car Parking
The short-term parking terrace is located directly west and south of the terminals and is connected to the main building via sky bridges; the lower level is for hourly parking only. Long-term car parking is located to the west of the terminal buildings and is served by a free shuttle service running every 5 minutes to/from the terminals. Parking information is available from AMPCO Parking (tel: (801) 575 2887).
Car Hire
Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz and National are all located on the ground floor of the short-stay parking terrace, directly across from the terminal buildings. Information is available from the ground transportation desks in the Arrivals areas (tel: (801) 575 2477).
Public Transport
Bus: Greyhound (tel: 1 800 231 2222; www.greyhound.com) and Utah Transit Authority (tel: (801) 287 4636; www.rideuta.com) provide buses to many destinations. A ground transportation desk is located in the Arrivals areas of each terminal (tel: (801) 575 2477).
Taxi: Taxis, limousines and vans are readily available from a number of companies.
Information and Help Desks
Information is provided by airport airfield officers throughout the airport; information desks are available in both terminals. Staff provide translation services and assistance to passengers with special needs. Tourist information (tel: (801) 575 2800) is also available.
Airport Facilities
Money and communications: There are bank branches, bureaux de change and ATMs at the airport. There is a post office, open daily 24 hours, just off the airport entry road. Wireless Internet access is available too.
Eating and drinking: As well as cafés, restaurants and bars, there are fast-food outlets and coffee shops.
Shopping: There is a wide range of shops at the airport, including gift shops and a duty-free shop.
Luggage: A lost property service is available in Terminal 1 (tel: (801) 575 2427).
Other facilities: These include medical services (tel: (801) 575 2405), shoe shine stands, children’s play areas, baby change facilities and mobile phone chargers.
Conference and Business Facilities
Regus Express (tel: (801) 519 5060), the airport's business centre, provides desktop computers, PC modem and Internet connection services as well as printing, faxing and photocopying. The Zions bank in Terminal 2 also offers fax and photocopying facilities. Computer phones are located throughout the terminals. Delta AirLines Crown Room in Terminal 2 provides business facilities for its members.
Facilities for Disabled Travellers
There are lifts and ramps at the airport, adapted toilets, TDD telephones and low-level telephones. Disabled passengers are advised to inform their airline of any special requirements they may have and to request wheelchairs well in advance. If wishing to use public transport, disabled passengers should telephone Terminal Services (tel: (801) 575 2477) in advance to make arrangements. There are reserved car parking spaces for disabled travellers in all airport car parks. Shuttle buses are wheelchair-accessible.
Hotels
There are no hotels on the airport site. Hotels near the airport include the Comfort Suites Airport (tel: (801) 715 8688; www.choicehotels.com), Comfort Inn Airport (tel: (801) 746 5200; www.choicehotels.com) and Hilton Salt Lake Airport (tel: (801) 539 1515; www.hilton.com). Hotel shuttle services can be ordered through phones at the ground transportation desks, or by using hotel telephones that can be found in both baggage reclaim areas.
