The airport is situated 10km (6 miles) southeast of Victoria on the island of Mahé.
Transfer Between Terminals
There is a walkway between the two passenger terminals. It takes two minutes to walk from one to the other.
Driving Directions
From Victoria city centre, head towards the southeast following signs for the airport.
Car Parking
There are 40 short-term and over 100 long-term parking spaces at the airport with direct access to terminal buildings.
Car Hire
Car hire is available at the airport from Avis, Hertz and Sixt, as well as from a couple of local operators. Car rental desks are located in Arrivals and Departures. Most of them are open only when there is a flight in or out of the airport.
Public Transport
Coach: All areas of Mahé are available by coach.
Bus: Buses operate from 0530 to 1930 and depart for Victoria every 20-30 minutes.
Taxi: Taxis operate 24 hours from the airport.
Information and Help Desks
There is a tourist help desk in Arrivals, which is open whenever there is a flight.
Airport Facilities
Money and communications: There are mail boxes, a bank, ATMs and a bureau de change. Public telephones can be found throughout the airport. Internet facilities are available on the first floor of the International Departure lounge and there is Wi-Fi Internet access in all of the International Terminal.
Eating and drinking: There are restaurants and bars in both passenger terminals.
Shopping: There are duty-free shops in the Arrival and Departure halls of the International Terminal. There are more shops available on the concourse.
Luggage: Trolleys and left-luggage facilities are available.
Other facilities: These include a travel agent.
Conference and Business Facilities
There is a VIP lounge in the International Terminal building.
Facilities for Disabled Travellers
These are limited. Currently a system of ramps is used for disabled access. Adapted toilets are also available. Contact your airline for further information and assistance.
Hotels
Located 5km (3 miles) north of the airport, the Wharf Hotel & Marina (tel: 670 700; www.wharfseychelles.com) is a luxury hotel halfway between the airport and Victoria, five minutes' drive either way. Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Beach Resort & Casino (tel: 287 287; www.berjayaresorts.com) and the Coral Strand Hotel on the Beau Vallon Beach (tel: 621 000; www.coralstrand.com) are 15km (9 miles) northwest of the airport.
