The airport is located 8km (5 miles) to the southwest of the centre of Cork.
Airport News
The airport's new €100m terminal building opened in August 2006. It covers 28,300 sq m (304,619 sq ft) and has 30 check-in desks.
Driving Directions
Cork Airport is located to the southeast of the City of Cork on the south end of the N27 when coming from the north, west or east of Cork and off the R600 when coming from Kinsale.
Car Parking
The airport has both short-term and long-term parking within the airport grounds. There are over 4,600 spaces available in total. The multistorey short-term parking garage can accommodate 630 cars, and a covered walkway takes travellers directly from there to the entrance of the terminal building. Also the long-term lots are within walking distance of the terminal. All car parks operate 24 hours. Parking information on (tel: (021) 432 9633).

Public Transport
Bus: Bus Eireann (tel: (021) 450 8188; www.buseireann.ie) provides a regular bus service from Cork Airport to Cork's Parnell Place bus station and main railway station every 30-40 minutes throughout the week (slightly less frequently during early morning and late evening hours and weekends). The journey time is around 30 minutes. It also offers long distance services to destinations all over Ireland.
Shuttle: Skylink (tel: (021) 432 1020; www.skylinkcork.com) has coaches departing the airport every 30 minutes, seven days a week, and connecting with over 30 city hotels, guest houses and city centre locations.
Taxi: Cork Airport Taxi (tel: 0872 812 581; www.corkairporttaxi.com) operates from the airport. There is a taxi rank located outside the main terminal.

The airport information desk is located on the lower level in the arrivals hall.
Airport Facilities
Money and communications: The bureau de change and bank are located on the lower level next to the Hughes & Hughes Booksellers store, and there are two ATMs nearby.
Eating and drinking: Outlets serving food include Cork's Food Market, Lir Café and Subway. There are two bars, as well as a coffee shop in the terminal building.
Shopping: The Travel Value Store offers duty-free shopping with a great selection of cosmetics, toiletries and food and drink products. Hughes & Hughes Booksellers are represented on both the upper and lower levels of the terminal building, and a convenience store sells newspapers, snacks and food items next to the information desk on the lower level of the arrivals hall.
Luggage: For items lost or found, call (021) 432 9633.
Other facilities: A meeting point for picking up arriving passengers is located opposite the airport information desk in the arrivals hall. People meeting arriving passengers must park in the short-term multistorey car park and go to the meeting point. Due to the volume of traffic at Cork Airport, vehicles are not permitted to park directly outside the terminal building.
Conference and Business Facilities
The Jack Lynch Executive Lounge (tel: (021) 432 8854) is located opposite Gate 8 in the departures area after security. Opening hours are from 0600 to 2100 every day. Conference and meeting facilities are available at the airport's two hotels (see Hotels below).
Facilities for Disabled Travellers
Cork Airport's new terminal has many facilities and arrangements in place to ensure the best possible access for travellers with disabilities. Specially adapted facilities include toilets, lifts, escalators, telephones, vending machines and signage. There are ample lifts and escalators located throughout the terminal building. Clear directional signage points the way to these. All lifts have directional inbuilt voiceovers and Braille control buttons. Parking spaces reserved for disabled travellers are available in the multistorey parking garage.
