The airport is located 32km (20 miles) to the north of Phuket.
Driving Directions
Driving from the airport to Phuket city centre is easy. Take the Thep Kasatri road, the main route, and follow the signs.
Car Parking
Both short-term and long-term parking is available at the airport parking lot, which has a capacity of 443 vehicles.
Car Hire
The airport has two car hire counters, one in the north end and the other at the south end of the arrival hall. Avis, Budget, Hertz and National are among the companies represented.
Public Transport
Bus: Buses depart for Phuket city centre on an hourly basis.Taxi: The taxi stand is located outside of the terminal building. A limousine service is also available. Tickets are sold at the limousine counter in the arrival hall on the first floor of the terminal building. A transportation service counter can be found in the arrival hall.
Information and Help Desks
Information desks (tel: (076) 327 2307, ext 1100/11/22) are located in the departure and arrival areas. The tourist service counter (tel: (076) 327 110) is situated in the departure hall.
Airport Facilities
Money and communications: Four currency exchange counters are located in the arrival hall and one is in the departure hall. ATMs are also available. The post (tel: (076) 327430) and telegraph offices are available in the north end and sound end of the departure area.
Eating and drinking: The Thai Airways International restaurant on the third floor serves Thai and international food. Snack bars and cafes are located throughout the terminal.
Shopping: There are more than 10 retail premises at the airport, including four duty-free shops in the international departure lounge and one in the international arrival lounge selling liquor, cigarettes, perfume and much more.
Luggage: Passengers can trace lost luggage at Thai Airways International's counter in the arrivals area or at the offices of each airline company. A left luggage service is provided in the domestic arrival hall.
Other facilities: The airport's first aid point (tel: (076) 327 2307, ext 1133) is located in the departure hall. Service hours are from 0600-2400. A prayer room for Muslims is available on the third floor.
Conference and Business Facilities
There are currently no conference or business facilities at the airport.
Facilities for Disabled Travellers
Facilities adjusted for people with physical disabilities include the lifts, toilets and telephones in the terminal. The airport also has parking spaces reserved for disabled people.

Phuket Airport Hotel (tel: 08317 28052) is located within walking distance of the airport. It offers a free shuttle service to and from the airport.
