The airport is located 17km (10 miles) south of Penang's capital city Georgetown and 6km (4 miles) north of Bayan Baru.
Driving Directions
Driving between the airport and Georgetown is easy. It takes 20 minutes on the Bayan Lepas Highway, and it is just a matter of following the signs.

Both long-term and short-term parking is available, with more than 800 parking spaces.

Public Transport
Bus: There are bus services from the airport to Georgetown. They are quite frequent, and the journey takes around 45 minutes.
Taxi: The taxi service from the airport is cheap and reliable. A voucher system with fixed prices for specific destinations is used. Passengers need to buy a voucher at the taxi counter in the terminal building and then present the voucher at the taxi rank outside where they will be allotted a taxi.
