Aberystwyth Arts Centre
The award-winning Aberystwyth Arts Centre is part of the University of Wales Aberystwyth and is the largest and busiest arts centre in the whole of Wales. It underwent a massive redevelopment project in 2000 and today welcomes over 500,000 visitors each year. The centre hosts a wide-ranging programme of events, activities and workshops from across a variety of art forms. The venue includes the 900-seater Great Hall which opened in 1970 and the Exhibition Gallery and Theatre that was completed two years later. The refurbishment added or updated a number of facilities including a pottery studio, print room, darkroom, video suite, dance studios, studio theatre, recording studio and a new 120-seater cinema.
