Attraction Information

Linnanmäki

Founded in 1950, Linnanmäki amusement park is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Finland. This giant theme park was opened by six Finnish child welfare organisations to promote children’s events in the country. The Children’s Day Foundation was set up by these six charities with responsibility for managing the park in 1956. This is still the case today and all profits are donated to charity. Rides include a Wooden Roller Coaster which was built in 1951, the Space Express roller coaster and the Space Shot adventure ride. A Toy and Play Museum opened in 1996.
