Paintings by English masters include Constable’s ‘The Haywain’ and Gainsborough’s ‘The Watering Place’. There are regular exhibitions at the National Gallery, ranging from displays of schoolchildren’s artwork inspired by Hogarth’s painting ‘The Graham Children’, to an exhibition of 19th-century German painting.
