Doing business & staying in touch

Darwin
Darwinians usually lead a casual, outdoor lifestyle, which is not surprising given the heat, humidity and tropical feel of Darwin. The annual build-up (around December) reputedly gives the locals frayed edges, but generally life is slow-paced and relaxed. Business interactions have long reflected this, though the boom in mining and other industries has changed this in some circles. Dress codes are fairly casual, taking into account the city's tropical environment. Business hours are generally 0830-1700.
