Salzburg Airport Guide (SZG)
Salzburg Airport is located 4km (2.5 miles) west of Salzburg city centre, and 2km (1.2 miles) east of the German border.
Here you'll find essential information on Salzburg Airport, including contact details, airport transfer facts, details of airport facilities, and how to get there.
The information desk (tel: (0662) 8580 7911) is located in the arrival hall and is open from 0500 until the last incoming flight.
Salzburg Airport has its own motorway connection on the junction of the A1 and A10, to the west of the city centre. Coming from the west, travellers should take the Salzburg West A1 exit and then take the airport exit shortly thereafter.
Arriving from the south, it's best to follow the A10, turn onto the A1, and then choose the airport exit.
From the north, head southwest on the A1 and take the airport exit. From the city centre, head west on the B1 (Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse) until reaching the airport.
Public Transport
Bus: Salzburger Stadtwerke (tel: (0662) 440 6262; www.stadtbus.at) operates bus 2, which runs at regular intervals between Salzburg main railway station and Salzburg Airport (journey time: 20-25 minutes; fares: €1.60 in advance or €2.10 on board). Other services link the airport with various destinations in the city and wider region.
Taxi: A taxi stand is located directly in front of the airport terminals. A number of taxis and shuttle van services operate from here, including: Taxi Schneeberger (tel: (0676) 8416 1111), Taxi Erlbacher (tel: (03687) 81915), Taxi Jäger (tel: (06453) 8273), Salzburger Funktaxivereinigung (tel: (0662) 8111), Taxi 2220 Salzburg (tel: (0662) 2220), Taxi-Salzburg Info (tel: (0650) 556 4912) and Taxi Hager (tel: (0664) 356 5623).

A duty-free shop (for passengers leaving the EU) and souvenir shop are available in the departure lounge.
There are lost and found counters in the arrivals hall (tel: (0662) 858 0259). Baggage storage is available in the main terminal.

There are also parking spaces for disabled passengers in the short-stay car park P1, parallel to the covered walkway. Toilets and washrooms for travellers with disabilities are located in the check-in hall, departure hall and in the restaurant area on the first floor. Lifts are also available.
