Bermuda International Airport Guide (BDA)
Bermuda International Airport is situated 5km (3 miles) southwest of the Town of St George and 16km (9 miles) to the northeast of Bermuda's capital city Hamilton.
Here you'll find essential information on Bermuda International Airport (L.F. Wade International Airport), including contact details, airport transfer facts, details of airport facilities, and how to get there.
The information desk is centrally located in the arrivals hall of the terminal building.
Only one terminal is for passenger traffic; the other is used for cargo.
Exit at Junction 33 and follow the A4232. Take the first exit off the A4232 at Culverhouse Cross and follow signs to Bermuda International Airport along the A4050 and A4226.
Public Transport
Bus: Frequent buses (tel: 292 3851) serve the departures area, with routes criss-crossing the island. These buses are not always practical for travellers with plenty of luggage or for the physically disabled. The journey time to St. George's is about 15 minutes, and a trip to Hamilton takes around 40 mins. Booking a minibus on arrival can be more practical.
Taxi: Metered taxis are available from the taxi rank outside the terminal building. These charge $25-30 for a journey to Hamilton. Minibuses can pick up by prior arrangement. Operators include Bee Line Transport (tel: 293 0303), Bermuda Host (tel: 293 1334) and Flood Transport Services (tel: 295 3589).
Terminal facilities
There are ATMs on both floors of the terminal building.
Free Wi-Fi internet access is available in the terminal within a designated area.
There are several snack bars, a bar and a bistro café serving coffees, lattes and a variety of morning pastries and sandwiches, located within the terminal building.
There are several shops at Bermuda International Airport, including duty-free outlets selling liquor, tobacco, cosmetics, perfumes and toiletries as well as retail outlets offering magazines, books, souvenirs, jewellery, perfumes and clothing.
Luggage trolleys are free. Skycap porters are available to help with luggage transportation, a tip is not mandatory but appreciated. For lost and found items and luggage contact the airline representative on the ground floor of the terminal building. For all other lost and found items at Bermuda International Airport contact airport enquiries (tel: 293 2470).
A first aid service is available. Bermuda International Airport also has automated external defibrillators available. There are two children's play areas, and an art gallery.
Airport facilities
There is one executive lounge for First Class travellers. Free Wi-Fi internet access is available in the departure lounges.
A transporter for disabled passengers is available for help when boarding and disembarking.
Both short-term and long-term parking (tel: 293 2470) is available at Bermuda International Airport – all lots are pay and display.
Visitors to Bermuda are not permitted to hire cars.
