Bratislava Nightlife

The Old Town buzzes with modern cocktail lounges, music bars and cafés but it's increasingly difficult to find traditional Slovak places.

Mozart, Liszt, Beethoven and Rubinstein all had links to Bratislava so it is no surprise that classical music, opera, and ballet abound here, and at prices which are very attractive to visitors. Cirkus Barok

The most packed club is Cirkus Barok, on a three-level barge on the Danube. Cirkus Barok is all about entertainment and regularly hosts theme parties (including 'Erotic Parties'), drinks promotions, happy hours and live performances.

Set high on the Nový Most bridge above the Danube, UFO is a small über-stylish international-Slovak restaurant and nightclub with fantastic views. A great experience, albeit expensive.

Classical Music in Bratislava

Reduta

The Reduta was built in the 1910s in eclectic style on the former site of a baroque granary. The concert hall is the seat of the internationally acclaimed Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra and serves as the venue for the annual Bratislava Music Festival. However, the hall is currently undergoing extensive renovation which is due to last until 2011. In the meantime, the Slovak Philharmonic is performing at the nearby Slovak National Theatre.
