The following goods may be imported by persons over 18 years of age without incurring customs duty:
• 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 230g of tobacco.
• 0.94L of wine or spirits.
Note: (a) Import licences are required for a small number of goods, mostly food. (b) Heavy fines and long jail sentences are imposed for the possession, sale or use of narcotics.
