Getting Around
Salzburg
Public Transport
CityBus (StadtBus) (tel: 0800 660 660; website: www.stadtbus.at) has a comprehensive bus route network covering the city and its environs with around 20 routes in all. During weekdays, buses leave every 10 minutes between 0630 and 2000 and slightly less frequently early in the morning and late in the evening. Services are less frequent at the weekends, particularly on Sundays.
In addition to single-fare tickets, you can buy 24-hour cards and Weekend Cards (Wockenendticket; valid for up to five people) which are valid on the whole transport system in the city. For a stay of more than three days in Salzburg, it makes economical sense to buy a Week Card (Wochenkarte). There is also the SalzburgCard, which is made especially for tourists and is valid for either 24, 48 or 72 hours. See Passes in the Sightseeing section for more information.
