Housed in a historical building, this characterful hotel is a good choice for those who are not prepared to compromise on style, comfort or charm when travelling for business. Facilities are not as expansive as they would be at a bigger hotel, but still include Internet and fax and a meeting room accommodating up to 10 people.

A stone's throw from the cathedral, this is by far the best budget budget place to stay in the city centre. The inn has a family atmosphere, with cosy rooms and friendly service. There are only six rooms here (all en suite and with TV) so book well in advance.

Located beside the Conference Centre, this is a big modern hotel offering an array of facilities. There are 160 rooms and eight suites, all fully equipped with individual safe, digital TV, minibar, air con etc. There is also an executive floor, banqueting and conference facilities (10 meeting rooms with total capacity for up to 800 people), a restaurant, a piano-bar, a cafe, a garage and a swimming pool.

Follow in the pilgrims' footsteps and spend a night or two in a monastery. San Martin Binario (a listed historical monument) is located opposite the north door of the cathedral in Praza Azabachería, in the heart of the old city. The seminary, which is open for tourists in summer from July to September, provides 126 rooms, all with private bathrooms and showers.
