The Tourist Guide Service, run by the Udruga Vodica (Guide Association), is based on Peristil (tel: (021) 360 058). They offer tours of the historic centre, on foot, both for individuals and groups, in a wide choice of languages. In addition, Split Tours (tel: (021) 352 533; website: www.sem-marina.hr) offers a half-day city tour, which explores the historic monuments within the walls of Diocletian's Palace, then moves along the coast to the Meštrović Gallery. Lunch is an optional extra.
