Here, you'll find dozens of stalls selling tourist goods ranging from original artwork to the standard assortment of Costa Rica-themed T-shirts.
Galería Namu in downtown San José is regarded as one of the finest shops in the capital. This is the best spot to buy authentic indigenous crafts as well as contemporary Costa Rican artwork.
Shopping hours are generally Monday to Saturday 0930-2000, though it's normal for proprietors to take a one- to two-hour lunch break.
