Just outside the historic district but in the more commercial part of town, this four-star business hotel has spacious and comfortable rooms, although apart from the Provençal blue and yellow fabrics the decor is quite bland.

Perfectly located in the centre of Bordeaux, this boutique hotel is decorated in a warm contemporary style. The owner, Brigitte Lurton, comes from a big vine growering family, and can arrange private visits to cellars or dinner at the family château.

Sources de Caudalie
Out in the vineyards, a 20-minute drive from the city centre, is this magnificent hotel set in five different buildings, including a luxurious Asian boathouse and a stunning, very French estate house. The wine list is, of course, impressive, as are the two gourmet restaurants, but the hotel is equally famous for bathing clients in Merlot or wrapping them in vine leaves in the sumptuous Vinothérapie spa.
