Adelaide - Getting There By Rail

Interstate trains use Adelaide Parklands Terminal (formerly known as Keswick Terminal), located 2km (1.2 miles) west of the city centre. TransAdelaide (tel: (08) 8218 2362; www.transadelaide.com.au) offers rail services across the state.

The Indian Pacific runs from Sydney to Adelaide (journey time - 24 hours) and from Adelaide to Perth (journey time - 39 hours). The Ghan runs from Adelaide to Alice Springs (journey time - 25 hours), and onto Darwin (journey time - 24 hours). The Overland runs between Adelaide and Melbourne (trip time: 12 hours).
