Motorways (autopista) are prefixed with the letter 'A', or 'AP' if it is a toll road (peaje). The speed limit on these roads is 120kph (74mph). Dual carriageways (autovias) and other major roads (carretera nacional) are generally indicated with three digits. The speed limit on these roads is 100kph (62mph). Within towns, the speed limit is 50kph (31mph). Seat belts are compulsory for front-seat passengers in cars.

The Alsa coach company (tel: 902 422 242; website: www.alsa.es) also operates out of the same station, with routes throughout the rest of Spain in addition to services to other European cities. Other companies operate from the station to neighbouring cities.
