Bristol International Airport, 32km (20 miles) from the city, is well equipped for both business and leisure travellers. The executive lounge offers Internet access, phones and faxes, and business travellers can hire conference and meeting rooms (tel: (01275) 473 586). There are several shops, bars and restaurants at the airport, as well as bureau de change services.
Car hire is available at the airport, and Bath is a 45-minute drive away. Otherwise there are frequent bus departures from the airport in Bristol to Bristol Temple Meads railway station. From there visitors can catch a train or a bus to Bath. Both the buses and trains run every half hour or so. The train journey takes 15 minutes.
Bath is accessible by public transport from the main airports in London: Heathrow is 136km (85 miles) away, while Gatwick is 200km (124 miles) from Bath. National Express (tel: 0871 781 8181; www.nationalexpress.com) operates frequent services from both, as well as from London's Victoria Coach Station to Bath. From Victoria the journey time is around 3 hours 30 minutes and from Heathrow around 2 hours 30 minutes.
