Cambridge railway station is located to the south west of the city centre. First Capital Connect (tel: 0845 026 4700; website: www.firstgroup.com) operates services between Cambridge and London's King's Cross station, while One (tel: 0845 600 7245; website: www.onerailway.com) runs services to and from Liverpool Street station. There are direct trains between Cambridge and Birmingham, Ipswich, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Norwich, Peterborough and Sheffield. Moreover Cambridge connects with Leeds, York, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow via Peterborough.
