One of the finest hotels in Japan, Nagoya's Marriott Associa Hotel offers luxury and convenience in equal measure. Located in the southernmost of the two JR Central Towers that rise almost 250m (820ft) up in the air above Nagoya Central station, it is one of the city's landmarks. Ryokan Meiryu
A very friendly and welcoming ryokan with Japanese-style accommodation (no beds, just futons), Ryokan Meiryu is a convenient place to stay, not least because of its central location. The staff are very helpful, and there is a computer that is free to use for checking e-mails and browsing the Internet. Two Japanese-style baths are also available.

Westin Nagoya Castle
This hotel is located next to Nagoya Castle and close to the city's business district.
