Toledo - Getting There By Rail

Eurostar (tel: 08705 186 186; website: www.eurostar.com) runs from London to Madrid (Chamartin) in 19 hours 30 minutes via Paris. A favourite option is to take the overnight sleeper train (Trenhotel) from Paris to Madrid.

Toledo RENFE, Paseo de la Rosa (tel: (925) 223 099), is the city railway station, with a charming little neo-Moorish booking hall. From here it is around 1.5km (0.9 miles) to the centre. Take bus 6 to the Plaza Zocodever.

The Spanish rail network is operated by RENFE (tel: (902) 240 202; website: www.renfe.es).
