Crêperie Beaurepaire
One of several good crêperies in Lille, this one has the added advantage of having a pleasant courtyard, ideal in summer. Good selection of savoury and sweet galettes and crepes, and excellent Breton cider served in traditional bolée (cup).

Estaminet T Rijsel
Cosy rustic Flemish pub, which looks as if it hasn't changed in centuries. Great atmosphere, which explains why the place is always packed. Try the poulet au maroilles (roast chicken smothered in a local cheese), the house speciality. Closed Sunday.

L'Ecume des Mers
Restaurant specialising in seafood and fish. The monkfish with tarragon cream is excellent, and so is the aioli cod. Service can be a bit hit and miss. Good for business meetings, though, as there are several rooms for private dining.
