Grande Hotel do Porto
The Grande Hotel do Porto was designed by the architect Silva Sardina and opened in 1880. The hotel has 99 rooms, and they all have air-conditioning, broadband Internet access and beautifully tiled bathrooms. The hotel, and particularly the restaurant, has a distinct old world charm and atmosphere. It is located on Porto's main shopping street in the city centre, Rua de Santa Catarina.

Hotel Dom Henrique
This hotel, which is located just north of the historic city centre and the main shopping area, has 112 rooms as well as a restaurant, a bar and five conference rooms for six to 80 people. Wi-Fi Internet access is available in all rooms. A good choice for business travellers.

Hotel Nave
A basic but comfortable hotel located on the Avenida Fernão Magalhães not far from the Campanha railway station, Hotel Nave is a friendly, convenient place to stay in Porto. Pestana Porto
One of Porto's most popular boutique hotels, the Pestana Porto has a fantastic location down by the riverfront, overlooking the river and with a view across to the port wine cellars of Vila Gaia di Nova. There are 63 rooms, a restaurant offering a wide range of regional and national dishes and a bar with live music. The hotel also has several meeting and conference rooms. Quality Inn Porto
Centrally located on Batalha Square (Praça da Batalha), the Quality Inn Porto is convenient for business and leisure travel alike - with the river and all the main attractions within a few minutes' walk. Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo
Many people head straight for the Douro Valley after a stay in Porto. The Quinta Nova hotel, which is located in the heart of this wine making region an hour's drive from Porto, is the first wine hotel in Portugal. Located in a quinta, a large wine estate, it has 11 rooms in a refurbished 18th-century manor house that overlooks the vineyards and the river down in the valley. It is a calm and beautiful place in a beautiful landscape, and guests can take part in winemaking or farming activities on the estate.
