The Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is located 11km (7 miles) north of Porto city centre.
The facilities at the very modern airport include ATMs, a bank office, currency exchange services, a post office, Internet access and a massage service. The airport also has several shops, including fashion and accessories stores, duty-free shops, convenience stores, a jewellery shop, a delicatessen, a pharmacy and a couple of outlets selling souvenirs, books and newspapers. There are also several bars and cafes as well as a restaurant.
Car rental is available at the airport, and Porto is only 10-15 minutes away by car. Otherwise there are frequent bus and metro departures from the airport to central Porto. Both the buses and trains run every half hour or so and take around half an hour to get to the city centre.
