Granada Culture
Many of the best events happen during Granada's two big arts festivals. The Festival Internacional de Música y Danza is a huge two-week season of opera, ballet, concerts and more in late June and early July, with many performances in the Alhambra and other evocative locations (website: www.granadafestival.org). The Festival Internacional de Jazz de Granada brings international jazz artists to play in the Teatro Isabel La Católica and other venues through most of November (website: www.jazzgranada.net).
Granada's symphony orchestra, the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada (website: www.orquestaciudadgranada.es) presents concerts most Fridays and some Saturdays and Sundays from October to May at the Auditorio Manuel de Falla, Paseo de los Mártires, near the Alhambra (tel: 958 220 222).
The Teatro Alhambra, Calle de Molinos 56 (tel: 958 028 000; website: www.teatroalhambra.com) and the more central Teatro Isabel La Católica, Acera del Casino (tel: 958 222 907) also stage regular theatre and concerts.
