Rica Hotel Bygdøy Allé is a beautiful, historic hotel situated within walking distance of Oslo's main tourist attraction, the sculptures by Vigeland in Frongnerparken. Also in the immediate vicinity are the National Art Museum, The Royal Palace, Aker Brygge and Karl Johan gate, as well as exclusive shops, coffee bars and restaurants. The hotel reopened in 2000 after an extensive refurbishment project: it has kept its 'historic soul' but has at the same time found room for the modern and attractive restaurant, Magma, run by the internationally renowned chef Sonja Lee. The 57 rooms (35 of which are non-smoking) are well appointed and conference facilities are available for up to 40 delegates.
