Getting There by Air

British Airways (BA) (website: www.britishairways.com) and Monarch Airlines (ZB) (website: www.flymonarch.com) operate direct services from the UK.

Approximate Flight Times

From London to Gibraltar is 2 hours 30 minutes.

Main Airports

Gibraltar (GIB) (North Front) is 1km (0.6 miles) north of the town centre. To/from the airport: A bus to the centre departs regularly throughout the day. Return is from the Market Place bus stop. Bus 3 also goes to the airport. Taxis and courtesy coaches are available. The airport is only a 10-minute walk from the city centre. Facilities: Restaurants, banks/bureaux de change, tourist information, duty-free shops and car hire.

Getting There by Water

Main port: The port of Gibraltar (website: www.gibraltarport.com).

Many international cruise ships stop in Gibraltar. There is a regular ferry service to Tangier, Morocco as well as a catamaran service running from the ferry terminal to Tangier (journey time – 75 minutes).

Getting There by Rail

No railway systems operate in Gibraltar; however, the neighbouring towns of San Roque and Algeciras, in Spain, are only a few minutes' drive away and are both serviced by the national rail network of Spain, RENFE (website: www.renfe.es).

Getting There by Road

The only international land access is the frontier with Spain at La Linea.
