Guernsey (GCI) (website: www.guernsey-airport.gov.gg) is 6km (4 miles) from St Peter Port. To/from the airport: Bus and taxi services are available to the town (journey time – 15 minutes). Facilities: ATM, car hire, tourist information, first aid room, shops, duty-free shop, and light refreshments.

Getting There by Water

Condor Ferries (tel: 0870 243 5140; website: www.condorferries.co.uk) operates car/passenger catamaran services to Guernsey from Poole (journey time – 2 hours 30 minutes), Weymouth (journey time – 2 hours 10 minutes) and St Malo (journey time – 2 hours).

A car ferry operates to Portsmouth (journey time – 10 hours 30 minutes). Services also operate from Jersey. Manche Iles Express (website: www.manche-iles-express.com) operates from various French ports and from Jersey. HD Ferries (tel: 0844 576 8832; website: www.hdferries.co.uk) sails to Jersey and on to St Malo, and also has services to Cherbourg. Day excursions are available daily to Herm, Jersey and Sark by boat. Inter-island services are also available from Aurigny Air Services, Condor Ferries and Manche Iles Express.
