Getting There by Air
Trans Anguilla Airways (tel: (264) 497 8690; website: www.transanguilla.com) run charter planes between Anguilla and neighbouring Caribbean islands. Most tourists fly to St Maarten and then take the boat across to the islands.
Approximate Flight Times
From London to Anguilla to is 8-10 hours (including a stopover in Antigua), and from New York is 6 hours.
Main Airports
Wallblake Airport (AXA) is in The Valley. To/from the airport: Transport to the city centre is by taxi (journey time – 5 minutes). Facilities: Limited but disabled facilities, light refreshments and tourist information are available.
Departure Tax
US$20. Children: US$10 (five to 11 years of age); children under five years of age are exempt.

Main ports: Blowing Point, Road Bay, which handles ships of up to 1,000 tonnes.
