Warm and sunny from May to October, followed by cold winters. The autumn is spectacular: the climate and variety of hardwoods produce vibrant colours, attracting visitors worldwide. Foliage season begins in mid to late September, with peak colour often coinciding with the Columbus Day weekend in mid October.

Warm winter clothes are needed in the coldest months. Light- to mediumweights are advised for the summer.
