Health Care
There is a well-equipped hospital, providing 24-hour casualty service. Montserrat is a UK Dependency and a limited reciprocal health agreement exists with the UK. On presentation of proof of UK residence, free treatment is available at the general hospital and at state-run clinics to those aged over 65 and under 16. Dental treatment is also free for school-age children. Private health insurance is recommended.
