The climate in Nevada is arid with abundant sunshine, light rainfall and snow. Average temperatures vary from about 21°C (70°F) in the south to 7°C (45°F) in the north.

To the south, lightweights with extra covering for evenings are suggested. In the northern areas, heavier weight clothing is recommended.
