All hotels in Asunción are likely to be fully booked throughout the tourist season (July and August). Visitors are advised to consult a reputable travel agent for up-to-date information, or to ascertain the rates with hotels when making reservations. For further information, contact the Secretaría Nacional de Turismo (see Contact Addresses). Outside the capital, accommodation is fairly limited.

Package tours to national parks in the Chaco or the waterfalls near Ciudad del Este along the Brazilian border include lodgings, but for individual travellers all accommodation must be booked in writing well in advance; details of current prices are available from the Secretaría Nacional de Turismo.

There are a number of campsites throughout Paraguay.
