San Juan has modern Americanised hotels and there is similar lodging in Ponce. Outside the main urban areas, there are paradores (government-sponsored country inns). Self Catering
Apartments and condominiums are available from a number of companies specialising in renting this type of accommodation and are best around Luquillo Beach to the northeast.
