Getting There by Air

Flights are available between the British mainland and Guernsey, where visitors must transfer to reach Sark & Herm.

Getting There by Water

Sark main harbour: Maseline.
All visitors arriving from the UK must transfer at Guernsey. Sailings from the UK are with Condor Ferries (tel: 0870 243 5140; website: www.condorferries.co.uk) departing from Poole, Portsmouth or Weymouth. Condor Ferries also operates sailings from France to Guernsey departing from Saint Malo. The Isle of Sark Shipping Company (tel: (01481) 724 059; website: www.sarkshipping.info) runs services between Guernsey and Sark (journey time - 45 to 50 minutes). Manches Iles Express runs a service from Jersey to Sark (website: www.manche-iles-express.com). Note: There is a landing tax for all visitors to Sark.
 
Herm: There is a ferry service daily between Guernsey and Herm (journey time - 20 minutes). Ferries leave from Guernsey to Herm and faster catamarans can be chartered. Carriers include: Herm Travel Trident (tel: (01481) 721 379) and Island RIB Voyages (tel: (01481 713031; website: www.islandribvoyages.com).

Getting There by Road

No cars are allowed on either island. The Sark ‘taxi’ is a horse-drawn carriage, which takes visitors around the island. Bicycles can also be hired on Sark. Herm has only a few essential tractors and an emergency 4-wheel drive vehicle.
