South Australia Travel Guide - Accommodation

Hotels

South Australia has many hotels and motels including 5-star international hotels. Standards vary, but ensuite, TV, drink-making facilities and, sometimes, a small fridge is the norm. In addition, there is a wide variety of holiday flats and apartments for rent. Further information is available from the South Australian Tourism Commission.

Bed and Breakfast

Bed & breakfast, farmstay and cottage accommodation is available throughout the state. Staying in a bed & breakfast is a good way to see how everyday Australians live - particularly in rural areas. Accommodation is often quite luxurious.

Camping/Caravanning

South Australia has many caravan parks. They usually offer sites with full amenities and power. A number of companies can arrange camper van hire, with a range of fully equipped vehicles. Bush camping with limited facilities is available in the national parks and is especially good at Innes, Lincoln, Coffin Bay and the Coorong national parks.

Accommodation Information

For further coverage of the range of accommodation available in Australia, see Accommodation in the general Australia section.
