Other UK residents are entitled to free treatment as follows: on Grand Turk, dental treatment, prescribed medicines and ambulance travel; on the outer islands, medical treatment at government clinics and prescribed medicines. There are community clinics on all islands. There is a small hospital on Grand Turk and a number of private practitioners, and also an emergency care facility. Comprehensive insurance is advised for all nationals.
