Lanzarote Top Things To See
This is how the Earth looked in prehistoric times. Timanfaya Volcano Park is Lanzarote´s most popular tourist attraction with over 25 volcanoes in just 50 sq km (19 sq miles).
Cesar Manrique Foundation
Cesar Manrique created radical architectural designs which can be seen across Lanzarote. The Cesar Manrique Foundation is built around five volcanic vacuums in the surrounding lava flow. The fountains and volcanic bubble rooms and gardens make this unlike any house you have ever seen.
Jardin de Cactus
The Jardin de Cactus (Cactus Gardens) has over 1,000 species of prickly plants to see. This is no ordinary cactus display though as the entire garden and area has been designed by Cesar Manrique.
Mirador Tour
A series of spectacular viewpoints around Lanzarote, the Mirador Tour takes you all over the island to the most beautiful, and some of the most unknown, places on the island. Special road signs with a camera symbol point out many of them.
Museum of International and Contemporary Art
The Museum of International and Contemporary Art exhibits many modernist paintings and sculptures that can be viewed at leisure before dining at one of the island's best restaurants. The museum and restaurant are located within an old historic fortress, the Castillo San Jose in Arrecife.
