Brunei Travel Guide - Passport/Visa

Passport valid for at least six months from date of departure required by all nationals referred to in chart above. Travellers must be entitled to return to home country.

A return ticket is necessary for visa-free trips. All visitors must possess sufficient funds to support themselves whilst in the country.

Required by all nationals referred to in the chart above except the following:
(a) 1. nationals of the United Kingdom holding full British passports, and nationals of the EU (except for Bulgaria and Romania) for stays of up to 30 days;
(b) 2. nationals of Australia are advised to obtain visas before arrival although it is possible to obtain one at Brunei International Airport for a stay of up to 30 days (a visa is required in advance for longer stays);
(c) 3. nationals of Canada for up to 14 days;
(d) 4. nationals of the USA for up to 90 days for social and business visits. Diplomatic and official visitors and ordinary passport holders need a visa if travelling on official business.
(e) 5. nationals of Bulgaria and Romania do require visas.

Nationals of Israel may not be granted entry to Brunei.

Short Visit: £10 (single-entry); £15 or £25 (multiple-entry). Cost changes frequently and depends on prevailing exchange rate.

Single-entry: three months. The validity of multiple-entry visas is at the discretion of the consulate but usually available for under three months and three to 12 months.
