Main Airports
Tenerife-Norte Los Rodeos (TFN), in the north of the island, is 11km (7 miles) from Santa Cruz. To/from the airport: There are bus routes to Santa Cruz, Puerto de la Cruz, Icod de los Vinos and to Tenerife-Sur airport. Taxis are available. Facilities: Bank/bureau de change, ATM, shops, cafes, bars, VIP Lounge, chemists and car hire.
Tenerife-Sur Reina Sofia (TFS), in the south of the island is 18km (11 miles) east of Playa de las Américas. To/from the airport: There are bus routes to Tenerife-Norte, Puerto de la Cruz and the beach resorts in the south. Taxis are available. Facilities: Banks/bureaux de change, ATMs, shops, cafes, bars, VIP Lounge, post office, chemists and car hire.
Lanzarote (ACE) is 6km (4 miles) north of Puerto del Carmen. To/from the airport: Buses go only to Arrecife (6km/4 miles north). Taxis are available. Facilities: Banks/bureaux de change, ATMs, shops, cafes, bar, VIP Lounge, chemists and car hire.
Fuerteventura (FUE) is 5km (3 miles) south of the island capital Puerto del Rosario. To/from the airport: There are direct bus services to the capital, Caleta de Fuste, Costa Calma and Morro Jable. Taxis are available. Facilities: Banks/bureaux de change, ATM, shops, cafes, chemists and car hire.

Getting There by Water
Many cruise ships stop in the Canaries, particularly at Las Palmas (Gran Canaria), Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Arrecife (Lanzarote). Further details are available from the Spanish National Tourist Office (see Contact Addresses).
All the islands are linked by regular car and passenger ferries. Acciona Trasmediterránea (tel: (902) 454 645; website: www.trasmediterranea.es) operates car ferry services from Cadiz to Las Palmas, Santa Cruz de la Tenerife, Arrecife and Santa Cruz de la Palma.
Day trips to the smaller islands are quickly and easily arranged.
