Dar es Salaam’s climate is tropical, with hot weather and high humidity all year round. Humidity peaks in March and April. The rainiest months are April and May; there’s also a fair amount of rainfall in October and November. As the city has a high proportion of Muslim residents, some restaurants are closed during the day in the month of Ramadan.
